When a contract may arise, you should:
- qFollow a clear and tested deal making procedure

- qUse contracting documentation - checklists, questionnaires, instruction sheets, standard letters etc

- qSet standards – service levels, performance measures, KPIs, specifications etc

- qCheck the adequacy of your project management capability and that of the other parties
- q

- qPlan fall back positions for contingencies, eg security, warranty, indemnity and guarantee clauses

- qBuild in exit procedures
